Buenos días. Soy propietaria de un piso de Alicante en el que hasta ahora había constituido mi vivienda. Pero debido a diferentes circunstancias, quiero convertir este piso en mi nueva oficina. Sin embargo, los vecinos me están poniendo muchos problemas y se niegan a que pueda montar allí mi oficina, pero ¿hay algún impedimento para ello?

En primer lugar, le aconsejo que consulte los Estatutos de su comunidad para verificar si existe alguna prohibición expresa para poder hacer uso del piso como una oficina, pues en tal caso la oposición de sus vecinos estaría justificada. Pero si esto no se prevé, usted estaría en todo su derecho de hacer este cambio, siempre y cuando el cambio no implique una afección de la estructura del edificio ni comprometiese el estado de ningún elemento común.

Firstly, I recommend you to check what the Statutes of the community state about it and to verify if there is some prohibition regarding the use of the properties as offices. If so, your neighbours are right. Otherwise, you can change the use of the apartment, as long as this change is not affecting to the structure of the building or any of the common elements.
